In order to create the Air Drop, you will need to synthesize Honey first.
Here are the requirements you will have to clear in order to proceed:
- Create a Catcher’s Net: Honey requires a Bug-category ingredient. The easiest way to obtain one is by creating a Catcher’s Net. Alternatively, you can raise your Gathering Rank up to 2 in the Skill Tree.
- Synthesize a Neutralizer: The Air Drop recipe also requires a Neutralizer-category ingredient.
Obtaining the Ingredients
Honey is the only mandatory core ingredient for the Air Drop. For the Honey recipe, you will need to collect Beehives and a Bug-category ingredient.
You can find both ingredients at Pixie Forest – Flower Circle.
Collect the beehives on the ground to obtain the Beehive-category ingredient. At Gathering Rank 2, you will also be able to collect Honey Ants.
If you still haven’t unlocked the Gathering Rank 2 node in the Skill Tree, switch over to the Catcher’s Net. Use it on the bushes around the Flower Circle to collect Honey Ants.
Synthesizing the Air Drop
Once you collect all ingredients, return to the Atelier. Start by synthesizing the Honey recipe.
Aim for Fire Element level 4 in total. While not mandatory, this will give the Air Drop an additional effect.
After synthesizing the Honey, select the Air Drop recipe. Star by adding Honey to the Effect 1 loop.
Try maxing out this loop, as it will let you swim faster underwater. Again, this is an optional step.
Next, add a Neutralizer to the Effect 3 loop on the left.
You can level up both Effect 3 loops to obtain the “Diving Gathering Quantity Up” effect. This is also optional.
Once you have completed the recipe, synthesize the Air Drop.
Where to Find the Rock Island Monument
Equip the Air Drop to your Survival Tools, then head back to Kark Isles. Follow the marker leading to the Rock Island.
Once you arrive at Rock Island, face east from the entrance. You will see the faint outline of an underwater cave.
Use the Air Drop to dive, then head inside the underwater cave.
Once you get out of the cave, resurface on the other side. You will then gain access to the interior of Rock Island.
Follow the marker and walk to the innermost part of the island. You will then find the stone monument to advance the main story.
