Basic Information
Basil is a famous botanist who moved to Mineral Town with his family to study the flora there. Next to his house is the library filled with books, some of which he wrote himself. Basil loves nature and is extremely passionate about his work.
Every Monday, you can find Basil and his family at Mother’s Hill.

Events with Basil
Basil’s Mistake
Date: Any day except Monday
Time: 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
You need to be friends with Basil in order to see this event. Mary should not be married yet, and it must be raining to trigger the scene.
You’ll find Basil on the second floor, pacing back and forth. He says that a person accidentally ate a poisonous mushroom after reading his book and is blaming him for it. Basil is unsure whether he should write back to the person or not.
Tell Basil to write the person back, and his affection will increase.
The White Flower
Date: Any day during summer, must be in Year 5 or more
Time: 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Ellen tells Basil about a rare flower that only blooms on a summer night. Basil then asks you to find the flower while he does some research about it. You can find the flower on the summit of Mother’s Hill between 9:00 PM and 12:00 AM.
Once you’ve found the flower, your character will pick it up and head straight to Ellen’s house. Basil gives Ellen the flower and thanks him for the gift.
A Prize for Basil
Date: Thursday, any season
Time: 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM
In order to trigger this event, Mary and Gray must be married. Visit Basil’s house between 5:30 PM and 7:00 PM. You’ll find Basil and his family celebrating an award that he has won for a book he wrote. He thanks everyone for their support and kind words.
Customers for Kai
Date: Any date, summer season only
Time: 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Basil is one of the customers who visit Kai’s restaurant during this event.
Visit Kai’s restaurant at Mineral Beach between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Kai tells you he doesn’t have any customers. Popuri shows up with a lot of customers, and now Kai is worried that it’ll be too difficult for him to cook for all of them. You agree to help Kai, and he thanks you for your help.
Note: The day will end when you trigger this event, so finish all your tasks before going to the beach.
