You can create the Bomb Hammer by adding a Bomb Rod to the Hammer recipe after completing Chapter 6 – The Abandoned Tower, part 3.
You need to meet the following requirements in order to synthesize the Bomb Hammer:
- Raise your Alchemy Level: The Bomb Hammer requires Alchemy Level 36.
- Defeat the Dragon Lord at the Ancient Battlefield: The Bomb Hammer requires a Holy Arbor Branch. You can only find the Holy Arbor Branch at Pynnor Tower’s entrance. The area only becomes accessible once you defeat the boss.
Collecting Ingredients
The Bomb Hammer requires three specific ingredients.
- Holy Arbor Branch
- Ethereal Stone
- Eroded Stone
Obtaining a Holy Arbor Branch
After defeating the Dragon Lord, you will gain access to the Pynnor Tower.
Fast travel to Pynnor Tower – Sanctuary Garden and look for these gem-encrusted logs.
Use the Woodcutter’s Axe on them to obtain a Holy Arbor Branch.
Collect three Holy Arbor Branches.
Use the Holy Arbor Branches to synthesize the Bomb Rod. This recipe requires a minimum of two ingredients.
Pay attention to the Bomb Rod’s Element Level.
The Bomb Hammer requires Fire Element Level 3 for the morph. At this point in the game, you will likely need at least two Bomb Rods to meet this requirement.
Collecting an Ethereal Stone and an Eroded Stone
Fast travel to Meteor Castle – Dragon’s Fire Tower. Head over to the east part of the map and look for these dotted stone pillars.
Use the Woodcutter’s Axe on them to obtain both the Ethereal Stone and the Eroded Stone. You will only need one of each.
Synthesizing the Bomb Hammer
The Bomb Hammer requires the following ingredients:
- An Ethereal Stone.
- An Eroded Stone.
- A Bomb Rod (requires Fire Element Level 3).
Use the cauldron and select the Hammer recipe. You will find the Recipe loop on the right side.
Insert the Ethereal Stone in the Quality loop.
Next, add the Eroded Stone to the Effect 4 loop.
Complete the recipe by adding the Bomb Rod to the Recipe loop. This loop requires Fire Element Level 3.
After that, select “Yes” to complete the recipe.
For now, the Bomb Hammer won’t have all its effects unlocked.
The recipe has two additional Effect loops:
- Effect 3, which unlocks Gathering Up L.
- Effect 4, which unlocks Add Gunpowder.
You will be able to add these effects later using the “Item Rebuild” option. Another alternative is to synthesize a new Bomb Hammer from scratch with all effects.
Bomb Hammer Uses
The Bomb Hammer combines two gathering tools into one, saving space in the inventory.
It also contains the Hammer’s Crush effect and the Bomb Rod’s Explode effect. Because of this, the Bomb Hammer can gather two types of ingredients at once.
