How To Find Motor-runner’s Helmet And Complete The Unmarked “Bounty Killer” Quest In Fallout: New Vegas

Motor-runner’s Helmet is both a unique piece of apparel and a quest item needed to complete the “Bounty Killer” unmarked quest, given to you by Colonel Hsu. The helmet itself can be found on Motor-runner, who can be found in Vault 3.

Quick tips before you go get the helmet:

  • Hostile Fiends in the area. Both the vault itself and the area outside of the vault are filled with hostile Fiends.
  • Fiends inside the vault can be tricked. The Fiends inside the vault can be talked down with a Speech check of 64, or by wearing a Great Khan outfit. Doing this will allow you to assassinate Motor-runner without being bothered by the other Fiends.

Starting The Quest

This part is only required if you want to do the quest. If you just want the unique helmet, feel free to ignore this part of the guide.

To start the quest, start by going to Camp McCarran, located south of the Strip.

Killing Motor-runner

Motor-runner himself is located in Vault 3. To get there, you’ll have to make your way through a location called “South Vegas Ruins”, which is located southwest of Camp McCarran.
