Each of Fallout: New Vegas’s main story DLCs has a collectible snow globe the player can pick up and add to their collection. In the case of the Old World Blues DLC, the snow globe can be found in the X-17 Meteorological Station within Big Mountain.
Quick tips before you set off to get the snow globe:
- Old World Blues DLC required. To get this snow globe, you need to have the Old World Blues DLC installed.
- Added to collection instantly. Unlike the snow globes from the base games, the DLC snow globes are added to your collection at the Lucky 38 instantly. This also means that you are immediately granted the reward for finding this snow globe.
- Robots in the area. The area where the snow globe is located is filled with Mr. Gutsies, while the area outside is guarded by Roboscorpions. Bringing armor-piercing ammo or EMP weapons is recommended.
Acquisition
Start off by going to the X-17 Meteorological Station, located northwest of the Sink Balcony. It’s located in the same general area as the Forbidden Zone.
You’ll see a hermetic door between 2 red crystals. Use it to enter X-17.
Once you enter, you’ll find yourself inside a room with an exit on the opposite side. Use the exit to enter the main hall.
Go straight until you reach a metal staircase.
Once you reach the staircase, climb up it to reach the elevated metal platform.
After you climb the staircase, turn left and go straight until you see a small set of stairs leading to an elevated metal room to your right. Go inside that room.
You’ll see the snow globe right as you enter, as it is opposite to the entrance.
