The Cleansing Flame is a unique Flamer that can be bought from Gloria Van Graff, located in the Silver Rush.
Quick tips before you head off to get the weapon:
- Gun Runner’s Arsenal required. To obtain this gun, you’ll need to have the Gun Runner’s Arsenal installed.
- Costs about 10,000 caps. Like all GRA weapons, its purchasing cost is incredibly high.

Acquisition
First, make your way to the Silver Rush. The closest fast-travel point is The Strip North Gate.
Go down the street northeast and take the last turn to the left.
You’ll see a two-story building with a large “Silver Rush” sign. Enter the building.
You’ll enter the Silver Rush. Go up to Gloria, who’s going to be sitting behind a desk.
Speak to her and open her trading inventory.
The Cleansing Flame will be in her merchant inventory.
Comparing the Cleansing Flame to the Flamer
- The Cleansing Flame deals more damage over time the higher your Energy Weapons skill is:

- The burn damage over time lasts for 6 seconds, rather than 5.
- The Cleansing Flame deals 1 less damage (15 damage vs 16 damage).
- It has a higher magazine size (100 vs 60).
Gameplay Tips
- This weapon is best used against large groups of weak enemies. It’s useful against enemies like Cazadores and even bandit-type enemies like Fiends, Powder Gangers, and Vipers.
- Despite the Cleansing Flame being a Flamethrower-type weapon, no enemies who you set on fire with it flee or panic in any way.
