The corn is a summer crop in Harvest Moon: Back to Nature. It is one of the best summer crops to plant in terms of profit, only next to the pineapple. Corn takes about half a season to grow, and it should be your main source of income during summer.

The Fat-C Method
This planting method involves tilling a 3×3 square of soil and leaving one square on the edge untilled, planting just 8 crops instead of 9. This is the most efficient method of planting crops during the early stages of the game since the center crop is inaccessible without an upgraded watering can.
