Cursed tools are a powerful set of tools that you can find in Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town. These cursed tools are more powerful than mystrile tools. You cannot remove a cursed tool on your own once you equipped it, however Pastor Carter can help you unequip it.
Cursed Tools Location

You can find cursed tools in the Lake Mine. It is only accessible during the winter, or via teleporting in the cave using the Teleport Stone. You can find each tool by digging on a specific floor in the mine, after you’ve upgraded all of your tools to mystrile.
| Tool | Location |
| Cursed Fishing Rod | Floor 29 |
| Cursed Hoe | Floor 39 |
| Cursed Axe | Floor 49 |
| Cursed Hammer | Floor 59 |
| Cursed Watering Can | Floor 69 |
| Cursed Sickle | Floor 79 |
Important Note: The appearance of a cursed tool is random, and it may not always appear on its specific floor. Save your game before going down the ladder to the floor with a cursed tool so you can reload it if the tool does not appear.
Cursed Tool Effects

Cursed tools have powerful effects. Aside from being unable to unequip them yourself, using cursed tools also consumes a lot of your stamina. Be mindful of your stamina levels when using these tools because you could quickly pass out.
| Tool | Effect |
| Cursed Fishing Rod | Catches large fish, pirate treasure, ancient fossils, and King Fish |
| Cursed Hoe | Tills an area of 12×3 squares of soil in one hit |
| Cursed Axe | Chops all tree stumps on the screen |
| Cursed Hammer | Breaks rocks and large boulders in one hit |
| Cursed Watering Can | Waters a 6×13 square of soil at once |
| Cursed Sickle | Cuts a 9×9 square of grass and weeds |
Removing an Equipped Cursed Tool

Between 1PM and 4PM, visit Pastor Carter at the church confessional. Select “remove a cursed tool” from the dialogue options and pay the 1000G fee. He will then return the equipped cursed tool to your rucksack. You can put the cursed tool in your toolbox in case you decide to remove its curse later.
Tip: Make sure to have enough space in your rucksack before asking Pastor Carter to remove a cursed tool.
Tips for Obtaining Cursed Tools

- Remember to save before going down the floor with a cursed tool, as its appearance is random.
- Bring just the hammer (for breaking stones) and the hoe (for digging soil) when searching for cursed tools. Cursed tools don’t replace the ones you already have; they just take up their own space in your rucksack.
- Bring food and medicine to recover your stamina. You can purchase Bodigizer and Turbojolt at the clinic to recover some stamina.
- Save your game, find the ladder that leads to the lower floor, and memorize its location. The ladder will still be in the same position when you reload the game. Use this trick to conserve your stamina.
Blessed Tools

A cursed tool becomes a blessed tool after you bless it to remove its negative effects. Each tool has a unique method of removing its curse. Blessed tools have the same effect as cursed ones, but you can unequip them anytime and they don’t drain your stamina as much as cursed tools.
| Tool | How to “Bless” |
| Cursed Axe | Use the cursed tool 255 times |
| Cursed Fishing Rod | |
| Cursed Watering Can | Ask Pastor Carter to bless the cursed tool for 1000G. Do this 10 times. |
| Cursed Hoe | |
| Cursed Sickle | Equip the cursed tool for 10 days |
| Cursed Hammer |
Tips for Blessing Tools

- You don’t need to catch fish or cut tree stumps 255 times to remove the curse on the fishing rod and axe. Simply stand anywhere and repeatedly use the tool until it gets blessed.
- If you use the cursed tools during a festival, it won’t consume your stamina. This is the best way to remove the curse from the cursed axe and fishing rod. This also works in indoor areas after a cut scene ends.
- It is best to use the cursed sickle and hammer during the winter when you don’t need to use your other tools as much. Alternatively, you can ask the Harvest Sprites to do farm work while you’re stuck with the cursed tools.
