Estark is located at the end of the Mamon Mines. You’ll have to visit the Diabolic Hall to trigger his resurrection and then go there to defeat him. Doing so will give you access to an air transport and to the final dungeons in the game.
Preparations
- Be at least level 28. This will be one of the hardest bosses up until this point in the story. Grind in the Colossus Tower if you’re not at that level yet.
- Gear Up. You should’ve gotten the Zenithian Helm, Shield and Armor already. Also buy the best armor you can for the rest of your party, and equip either the Falcon Knight Earrings or the Fire Claw on Alena.
- Have the Mod Rod. This is optional but will allow you to clear the Diabolic Hall much faster and without triggering fights. See our guide on how to get it!
Resurrecting Estark
After you cross the Colossus Tower, you can head east on that same island to reach the Diabolic Hall. Psaro and his minions are stationed here.

If you have the Mod Rod, you can turn yourself into a monster to talk to every monster. If you don’t have it then talking to them will trigger a fight. Get to the last floor, to the dining room, and talk to every single NPC before sitting at the dinner table, beside the blue tiger.

Psaro will appear and tell every monster to go to Mamon and resurrect Estark there. That’s where you need to go. It’s the same mine where you got the gunpowder during Chapter 4.

Finding Estark
The mines don’t have an Inn anymore, and the place is invaded by monsters. The first half of the mine is identical to the last time, until you find a new entrance in front of a dead NPC. Go there to access the ruins.

There is a small house in here, enter it to heal your party and then go east to enter the giant temple.
Walk north to get through the first room. The wall immediately north in the next room has three small cells; the one on the right has a Mini Medal, the next one has a Mimic and the western one has some gold.

Go south and enter the next room to your right to find a Strength and Agility Seeds. Keep going south and climb the stairs. Follow the pathway until the end, skip the stairs on the northeastern corner and go through the eastern ones instead.

Follow the path north. Immediately to your left there’s a room with a Mini Medal and a Mimic. The nearby chest is inaccessible for now, skip it. Get through the northwestern path and up the stairs inside the small cell.

Follow that path and you’ll reach the main platform, where Estark is being resurrected. Two Cheater Cheetas and a Rhinocerex will try to stop you, but they’re easy to defeat. That’s not the boss fight, however. After defeating them, heal up your party, get ready and talk to Estark to start the boss fight.

Estark
2700 HP, can cast Disruptive Wave, Chilly Breath and Focus Strength
He’ll be asleep at the start of the fight. When he’s asleep he uses a special attack that damages your entire group. On the first turn defend with everyone except one character (your tankiest one) and attack Estark with him to wake him up. After he wakes up, he’ll attack twice in some turns, so keep a dedicated healer using Midheal every turn to keep your party at full HP. Keep Kabuff up at all times; cast it again when he does the wave attack that nullifies all your buffs. He’s quite resistant to Sap, so simply attack him as often as you can while healing up until the fight is over.
You just defeated Estark! Luckily, he wasn’t fully awake, so you didn’t have to fight him at his full potential.
After defeating him, Psaro will storm in and find out you just defeated Estark, but before he can fight you, a monster informs him that something happened to Rose, so he’ll go away.

Don’t exit the dungeon yet! Remember the chest a couple of rooms ago that was inaccessible? Head back there and you’ll see it’s not blocked anymore. Open it to find a Gas Canister.

The inventor at Riverton can use this item to make you an air balloon. With it, you can travel to every single place in the world, including the ones that were inaccessible before.
