You will be able to synthesize the Dragon Device Blood after completing the Dragon Skull’s Ruin Crystal.
Here are the requirements you need to meet in order to proceed:
- Obtain the Dragon Device Blood recipe: You will get it as a reward for completing the first part of the Dragonbone Valley’s exploration diary.
- Gather Ancient Solution: You will find this ingredient at the Magical Hidden Village.
- Collect a Dragon-type ingredient: You can easily obtain this ingredient as a drop from dragon monsters.
Unlocking the Dragon Device Blood Recipe
The Dragon Device Blood recipe is a reward for completing the “Dragon Skull” Ruin Crystal.
For the first section, “Giant Dragon Skeleton”, you need the following fragments:
- “Apothecary’s Memory 2”, with the keywords “guardian” and “in the image of the legendary dragons”.
- “Tale of an Ethereal Dragon”. The keywords are “twin-headed Ethereal Dragon” and “guardian deity”.
The second section, “A Beating Crimson Heart”, requires the following memory fragments:
- “Apothecary’s Memory 5”, containing the keywords “dragon blood” and “ancient magic potion”.
- “Apothecary’s Memory 6”, with the keywords “dragon bones began to move” and “hiding the cave”.
For the third and final section, “Dragon’s Mouth”, you will need the memory fragments listed below:
- “Apothecary’s Memory 4”. The fragment’s keywords are “magic blacksmithing” and “freely manipulate”.
- “Jawbone Fragment”, which contains the keywords “jaw” and “skull of the dragon”.
Once you complete the Ruin Crystal, return to the Atelier to learn the recipe for the Dragon Device Blood.
Collecting the Ingredients
You have to collect an Ancient Solution and a Dragon-type ingredient.
Fast travel to Dragonbone Valley – Magical Hidden Village. Walk to the empty water tank at the center of the map.
You will obtain an Ancient Solution by using any of your gathering tools on the red pots.
You can also fight the wyvern monsters around to obtain Dragon-type ingredients. Dragon Meat, Dragon Eggs and Dragon Wings are all common battle drops.
Synthesizing the Dragon Device Blood
After gathering the ingredients, return to the Atelier. Select the Dragon Device Blood from the cauldron’s menu.
Start the recipe by adding the Dragon Skeleton Device in the central Quality loop. You got this ingredient during the cutscene at the end of Ruins Within the Dragon, part 2.
Insert a Dragon-type ingredient in the top Quality loop.
Move to the Quality loop at the bottom and add an Ancient Solution.
After adding all three ingredients, synthesize the recipe to obtain the Dragon Device Blood.
With the Dragon Device Blood in hand, return to the Magical Hidden Village to advance the main story.
