You can create an Elixir Ring by adding a Rainbow Gemstone to the Arc en Ciel recipe. The Elixir Ring is the final morph in the Polishing Powder’s recipe tree.
Before making the item, you will need to meet these requirements:
- Create a Blue Bomb Rod: You will need a Bomb Rod with Gathering Rank 3 for the Rainbow Gemstone. Making the Blue Bomb Rod is the easiest method. Alternatively, you can use an Ice Essence to upgrade a regular Bomb Rod.
- Gather Dunkelheit: The Elixir recipe requires a Dunkelheit, an ingredient notoriously difficult to find. However, it does have one specific gathering spot that is easy to access. It requires Gathering Rank 3.
- Obtain a Gold Puniball: The Elixir Ring recipe also requires a Gold Puniball.
- Create multiple Grand Orgens with “Gear Synth +”: In the final step, you will be able to add Grand Orgen ingots to accumulate stat points.
Where to Find Dunkelheit
You will be able to obtain the Dunkelheit near Grass Flower Forest’s entrance.
Fast travel to Valley of Winds – Glass Flower Forest.
Walk a short distance north from the entrance, until you reach the first fork on the road. Take the path to the right.

You will then arrive at another fork. This time, take the path to the left.

Continue until the end of the path and you will reach a lake.

Swim towards the opposite shore and you will find a few aquatic plants. Collect these plants to obtain the Dunkelheit.
This node requires you to unlock Gathering Rank 3 from the Skill Tree.

Obtaining the Remaining Ingredients
The Elixir Ring will also require a Gold Puniball and a Rainbow Gemstone.
For the Gold Puniball, fast travel to Northern Lands – Water Spirit’s Sanctuary.
Continue north, towards the bottom of the stairway. You will reach an open space with Gold Punis hopping around.

You will obtain the Gold Puniball from them as a common drop.

Next, you will also need a Rainbow Gemstone.
Fast travel to Northern Lands – Sand Beast’s Den. Use the Blue Bomb Rod on the rainbow crystals to the west and you will get the Rainbow Gemstone.

Creating the Elixir Ring
Once you have all the ingredients, return to the Atelier.
Synthesize an Elixir to use in the Ring’s recipe.
The Elixir is a recipe morph, which you can obtain by adding a Dunkelheit to the Nectar recipe. You will unlock the Nectar node in the Skill Tree as part of the main story progression.

After that, you will be able to create the Elixir Ring. Before getting started, make sure you have the following ingredients for the synthesis:
- Sand-type ingredient.
- Ashen Sand.
- A second Sand-type ingredient (Wind Element level 2 loop).
- Shell Pearl (Ice Element level 2 loop).
- Two additional Shell Pearls.
- Another Sand-type ingredient (Ice Element level 3 loop).
- Amber Crystal (Lightning Element level 2 loop).
- Beehive-type ingredient.
- Amber Fragment.
- Mana-Eater Branch (Fire Element level 3 loop).
- Two Puniball-type ingredients.
- Magnemarmor.
- Holy Arbor Crystal (Ice Element level 3 loop).
- Another Holy Arbor Crystal.
- Gas-type ingredient (Wind Element level 3 loop).
- Rainbow Gemstone (Lightning Element level 4 loop).
- Rainbow Gemstone (Fire Element level 3 loop).
- Gold Puniball.
- Two Neutralizer-type ingredients.
- A Magical-type ingredient (Ice Element level 4 loop).
- Elixir (Ice Element level 4 loop).
- At least 20 Grand Orgen ingots.
Use the cauldron and select the Polishing Powder recipe.
You will need to start all the way from the first recipe. Doing this will let you use additional ingredients in the later morphs.
In the Polishing Powder recipe, start from the Traits loop on the top. Add a Sand-type ingredient.

Insert Ashen Sand in the Effect 1 loop.

Continue to the left side of the recipe and insert a Sand-type ingredient in the Quality loop. You will need Wind Element level 2 for this loop.

Continue to the loop on the left. Use a Shell Pearl in the Recipe loop, which requires Ice Element level 2.
Do not synthesize the recipe after the morphs. Keep going until you create the Elixir Ring.

In the Pearl Crystal recipe, add a Shell Pearl to the Effect 1 loop, then move to the right.

Add a Sand-type ingredient to the Traits loop. Although this loop only goes up to level 1, it has an Ice Element level 3 requirement.

Insert a Shell Pearl in the Effect 4 loop.

Add an Amber Crystal to the Recipe loop, which requires Lightning Element level 2.

Ignore the Effect 1 loop and skip straight to the Effect 2 loop on the right. Insert a Beehive-type ingredient.

Continue to the Effect 3 loop and insert an Amber Fragment.

Use a Mana-Eater Branch in the Recipe loop. This loop has a Fire Element level 3 requirement.

In the Spirinite recipe, you will once again skip the Effect 1 loop.
Move to the Effect 2 loop and add a Puniball-type ingredient. You can use a Puni Leather in this loop to pick up some extra stats, but this is entirely optional.

Insert a Magnemarmor in the Quality loop, then continue to the loop above this one.

Add a Holy Arbor Crystal to the Recipe loop, which has an Ice Element level 3 requirement.

In the Saint’s Diamond recipe, add a Holy Arbor Crystal to the Effect 1 loop. Continue to the loops on the right side.

Insert a Gas-type ingredient in the Effect 2 loop, which requires Wind Element level 3. Move to the Quality loop above this one.

Add a Puniball-type ingredient to the Quality loop. Again, you can use a Puni Leather for additional stat points.
Proceed to the Recipe loop to the bottom-right.

Add the Rainbow Gemstone to the Recipe loop. You will need Lightning Element level 4.

Next, in the Arc en Ciel recipe, insert a Rainbow Gemstone in the Effect 1 loop. This loop has a Fire Element level 3 requirement.
Move to the loop below this one.

In the Quality loop, insert a Gold Puniball. Proceed to the right side of the recipe.

Add a Neutralizer-type ingredient to the second Effect 1 loop. It has an Ice Element level 4 requirement.
After that, use the loop to the right.

Insert a Neutralizer-type ingredient in the third Effect 1 loop. Proceed to the loop above this one.

Use a Magical-type ingredient in the second Quality loop. It requires Ice Element level 4.

Insert an Elixir in the Recipe loop to obtain the Elixir Ring. Do not synthesize it yet.

In the Elixir Ring recipe, ignore the other loops and move straight to the Traits loop. You will find it on the left side of the recipe.
Use all the remaining ingredients available and add as many Grand Orgens as possible. You should be able to use around 20 ingots.
Doing this will allow you to stack up stat points.
Skip this step if you choose to focus on the effects. You can use a Fire Essence on the second Effect 1 loop to upgrade it into Family Secret. Using a Wind Essence on the second Effect 2 loop will upgrade it into Unbeatable Strategy.

After that, you can finally synthesize the Elixir Ring. Use the Item Rebuild option to add all effects later.

In order to max out the Elixir Ring’s effects, you will need these ingredients:
- Elixir (Wind Element level 4 loop).
- Elixir (Wind Element level 5 loop).
- Two Metal-type ingredients (Lightning Element level 9 loops).
- A third Metal-type ingredient (Ice Element level 3 loop).
- A fourth Metal-type ingredient (Wind Element level 9 loop).
- Arc en Ciel (Lightning Element level 4 loop).
- A second Arc en Ciel (Lightning Element level 9 loop).
- A third Arc en Ciel (Fire Element level 5 loop).
- Two General Goods-type ingredients (Fire Element level 6 loops).
- Another General Goods-type ingredient (Wind Element level 5 loop).
Once maxed out, the Elixir Ring will have the following effects:
- Secret Knowledge L.
- Sage’s Strategy L.
- SPD +20.
- Enhance Stun +7%.

If you’ve already unlocked the Evolution Link node, you will also be able to add an EV-Effect.
