Basic Information
Ellen is Stu and Elli’s grandmother. She has lost the use of her legs because of an illness and never leaves her house. Despite her condition, she still takes care of Stu while Elli is working at the clinic.
If you befriend Ellen, she can knit you a pair of socks when you give her a ball of yarn. If you have a sock hanging in your house during the Starry Night Festival, you can receive gifts from a mysterious stranger. Ellen can also teach you the recipe for sandwiches.

Where Can You Find Ellen?
Ellen lives in the northern part of the town, next to the Library. She is neighbors with Mayor Thomas. Stu lives with her and Elli visits her on Wednesdays.

Festivals
Since Ellen can’t use her legs, she doesn’t appear in any of the town’s festivals. You can only see her outside her house on Elli’s wedding and during the event at Kai’s restaurant.
Events with Ellen
Stu is Sick
Date: Wednesdays, any season
Time: 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM
When you visit Ellen’s house, you’ll find that Stu has a bit of a fever. Elli asks you to bring Stu to the clinic as she is going to look for the Doctor.
Elli finds the Doctor, and he says that Stu is going to be fine. You accompany Stu back to Ellen’s house and the event will end. The event always ends at 3 PM, no matter what time you start it.
Playtime with Stu
Date: Wednesdays, any season
Time: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Visit Ellen’s house on a Wednesday during any season. When you arrive, you’ll find Stu and he will ask you if you’d like to play with him. If you agree, you will play with him until 7:00 PM. This event always ends at 7:00 PM no matter what time you start it, so do your farm chores first.
Ellen’s Visitor Part 1
Date: Fridays, any season except winter (rainy days only)
Time: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
You can only view this event when it’s Year 2 or later. Shortly after you arrive at Ellen’s house, Saibara will walk in. Ellen is glad that Saibara visits him and asks him how he’s doing. Saibara gets embarrassed and quickly leaves after getting his lunch.
Ellen’s Visitor Part 2
Date: Mondays, rainy days only
Time: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
To view this event, you must have seen the first part, and it’s Year 4 or later. Saibara and Ellen used to go out often together, and Ellen reminisces about the times when she could walk. Saibara encourages Ellen that there may still be hope for recovery, but Ellen has come to terms that she can no longer walk.
When Saibara notices you standing there and listening to him, he immediately leaves Ellen’s house.
Ellen’s Letter
Date: Wednesdays, any season
Time: 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
When you visit Ellen’s house, you’ll find her along with Stu and Elli. They will ask you about how hard your farm life is. Elli suddenly remembers that she forgot to return a book to the Doctor. She goes to take the book from the bookshelf and finds a letter stuck between the books.
The letter is from Ellen’s husband. She finds very kind words from her husband when she reads the letter.
The White Flower
Date: Any day during summer, must be in Year 5 or more
Time: 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Ellen tells Basil about a rare flower that only blooms on a summer night. Basil then asks you to find the flower while he does some research about it. You can find the flower on the summit of Mother’s Hill between 9:00 PM and 12:00 AM.
Once you’ve found the flower, your character will pick it up and head straight to Ellen’s house. Basil gives Ellen the flower and thanks him for the gift.
Customers for Kai
Date: Any date, summer season only
Time: 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Ellen is one of the customers who visits Kai’s restaurant during this event.
Visit Kai’s restaurant at Mineral Beach between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Kai tells you he doesn’t have any customers. Popuri shows up with a lot of customers, and now Kai is worried that it’ll be too difficult for him to cook for all of them. You agree to help Kai, and he thanks you for your help.Note: The day will end when you trigger this event, so finish all your tasks before going to the beach.
