In order to create the Emerald Band, you will need Emerald Glass.
You must also unlock the Emerald Band’s “All Crystal Connection” effect. Otherwise, you won’t be able to move past the first platform at the Code of the Universe.
Here are the requirements you need to clear for this recipe:
- Collect Emerald Glass: You can easily find Emerald Glass around Sardonica.
- Unlock the Emerald Band recipe in the Skill Tree: The node for the Emerald Band requires 1,200 SP to unlock.
- Unlock the “Quantity Up” nodes in the Skill Tree: You will need at least five ingredients for this recipe. However, in some cases, you may end up having to use 11, depending on the Elemental Level of the Emerald Glass you collect.
- Unlock the “Item Rebuild” node in the Skill Tree: As an alternative for the “Quantity Up” nodes, you can unlock the Item Rebuild node instead.
- Synthesize an Ingot: The Emerald Band recipe also requires an Ingot.
Unlocking the Emerald Band Recipe
The Emerald Band recipe is located on the left side of the Skill Tree. You will need to unlock the “Gathering Quantity Up” node first.
Try unlocking the “Quantity Up” nodes as well. While they might not be necessary for this synthesis, you will need them to upgrade your party’s equipment.
These nodes are located on the top-right of the Skill Tree.
Alternatively, you can unlock the first Item Rebuild node instead. This loop is also located near the top-right of the Skill Tree.
The Item Rebuild nodes are also extremely useful, so try unlocking all four of them.
Gathering the Ingredients
The Emerald Band will require Emerald Glass as its main core ingredient. You can easily find Emerald Glass all over the Sardonica region.
Where to Obtain Emerald Glass
Fast travel back to the Cleria Region Atelier. Exit the Atelier, then cross the bridge to the north.
You will find plenty of green crystals in the area to the northeast of the Atelier. Use the Hammer on the crystals to obtain the Emerald Glass.
You can also find these Crystals in many other areas around Sardonica.
Synthesizing the Emerald Band – Method 1
There are two methods to create an Emerald Band with the All Crystal Connection effect.
The first one is to max out all Effect 1 loops during the synthesis.
For this method, you will ideally need multiple units of Emerald Glass with Element Level 2 or better.
However, if yours are still at Element Level 1, you will need to use at least 10 ingredients. Make sure to have all the Quantity Up nodes unlocked in this case.
You will need to level up the second Effect 1 loop, which is located just above the first one. This loop also requires you to achieve Quality 100 in the recipe.
Add Emerald Glass to the first Effect 1 loop. Make sure to meet the Lightning Element level 4 requirement, or you won’t be able to unlock the second Effect 1 loop.
Insert an Ingot in the Effect 2 loop.
Add a Thread-category ingredient to the Effect 3 loop. These are all the three core loops for this recipe.
Once your recipe is at Quality 100, and once you have completed all three core loops, the second Effect 1 will become available.
Add Emerald Glass to it, and make sure to meet the Lightning Element level 6 requirement.
You can then synthesize the recipe to obtain an Emerald Band with the All Crystal Connection effect.
Synthesizing the Emerald Band – Method 2
For the second method, you will synthesize an Emerald Band without the All Crystal Connection effect, and then rebuild the item.
Simply fill out all the three core loops, and then synthesize the Emerald Band.
Use the cauldron again and select the “Item Rebuild” option.
Fill out the two Effect 1 loops, meeting their Lightning Element level requirements (4 and 6, respectively).
Make sure you have enough Gems to complete the rebuild.
After unlocking the All Crystal Connection effect, press the “Synthesis” button to complete the rebuild.
With the Emerald Band, you will be able to jump using the red crystals at the Code of the Universe. This way, you will be able to proceed on the first platform.
