In order to unlock the Yellow Crystal Connection effect, you will need to level up the Effect 1 loop.
This synthesis is not mandatory for the main story completion. However, you will need Yellow Crystal Connection to complete the exploration diaries.
You must meet the following requirements:
- Collect Emerald Glass: The Effect 1 loop requires Emerald Glass as an ingredient.
- Synthesize an Ingot: The Emerald Band recipe also requires an Ingot.
Collecting Materials
The Emerald Band requires Emerald Glass to level up the Effect 1 loop.
Fast travel to Maiden’s Catacombs – Memorial Garden. Use the staff on the lilac crystals to collect Emerald Glass.
Collect between two and four units. You will need a combined Lightning Element level of 4.
Return to the Atelier and synthesize an Ingot.
Synthesizing the Emerald Band
Select the Emerald Band recipe and add the Emerald Glass to the Effect 1 loop. At Lightning Element Level 4, this loop will add the Yellow Crystal Connection effect.
Insert the Ingot in the Quality loop to the right.
Add a Thread-type ingredient to the Traits loop on the left.
Synthesize the recipe to obtain an Emerald Band with Yellow Crystal Connection.
Using the Yellow Crystal Connection Effect
Yellow Crystal Connection allows you to jump using floating yellow crystals.
This effect will give you access to hidden areas around the maps.
These hidden areas often have additional memory fragments. These fragments aren’t mandatory for the main story.
If you wish to complete all Ruin Crystals, you will need the Yellow Crystal Connection effect.
Later on in the game, you will be able to unlock the All Crystal Connection effect. You will need to unlock the Essence Purification node in the Skill Tree.
