Warning: This article contains very minor spoilers for the final quest of the DLC Lonesome Road.
The 5 Eyebot upgrade circuit boards were added as a part of the Lonesome Road DLC for Fallout: New Vegas. Each one grants a single rank of the Camarader-E perk regardless of the order in which you pick them up.
Quick tips quick tips before getting the upgrades:
- Lonesome Road DLC required. As all the upgrades are located in the Divide, you must have the Lonesome Road DLC installed to get them.
- Science of 75 required. One of the upgrade tapes is locked behind a Hard-locked terminal, which requires a Science skill of 75 or more to hack.
- Located on destroyed Eyebots. Each of the upgrade circuit boards is located on a different destroyed Eyebot somewhere within the Divide.
Location 1: Hopeville Silo
This upgrade tape is located right at the start of the DLC. After you unlock the deeper parts of the Hopeville missile silo, which is a part of the main questline, you’ll be able to pick up the first circuit board.
It is nearly impossible to miss, as it is right in your path as you progress through the DLC.

Location 2: Hopeville Missile Base Headquarters
To find the second upgrade circuit board, travel to the location “Hopeville Missile Base Headquarters”, located just down the road from the Hopeville Silo.

Watch out, there are heavily armed Marked Men both outside and inside the facility.
Once you’re there, enter the building.

Once inside, deal with the Marked Men and go through the leftmost doorway.

After that, walk through the second to last door. The Eyebot will be located beneath a table in the far left corner of the room.

Location 3: Ashton Silo
To get this upgrade, you’ll need to hack through a Hard-locked terminal, located in the Ashton Silo. Don’t worry about trying to find this place on your own, the main questline will lead you here eventually.

Once you finish a combat-filled elevator ride sequence, the quest marker will lead you to a large room with a hole in the center, with a hermetic door with a terminal next to it on a side opposite to where you entered the silo. Hack the terminal to unlock the door.

Once the door is open, walk inside, the Eyebot will be on the ground right behind the door.
Location 4: Cave Of Abaddon
Located between the locations “Third Street Municipal Building” and “Cave of Abaddon” is an unexploded nuclear warhead. Find it.

Once you’ve located the warhead, take out the Laser Detonator that you got at the start of the DLC and detonate the warhead. Make sure to stand far enough away to not kill yourself.

Once the warhead has been detonated, use the rubble to walk to where the warhead used to be. You’ll see the destroyed Eyebot right away.

Location 5: Municipal Sewers
The last upgrade circuit board is located in the Municipal Sewers, which can be found in the location “Third Street Municipal Building”.
Once you’re there, head to the second floor of the building using the rusted metal scaffolding as a bridge.

Once there, walk through a hole in the wall in the far corner of the building. You’ll see a pipe with a sewer grate inside it. Head inside through it.

Be wary of the Tunnelers that patrol this area.
Follow the rather straight-forward pipe and cave system until you find the destroyed Eyebot in the far part of the cave, located next to a glowing lantern.
Benefits of gathering all the Eyebot upgrade circuit boards
As mentioned previously, picking up each of the holotapes grants the player 1 rank of the Camarader-E perk. The bonuses only last while EDE is in your party, however, it doesn’t have to be the Lonesome Road EDE, it can also be the EDE which can be found in the base game.
The ranks/bonuses of the perk go as follows:
| Rank | Benefit |
| 1 | Once per day, you may ask EDE to repair your weapon, which repairs 25% of the condition of your currently equipped weapon. *This may be increased to 35% condition with a Repair check of 35. |
| 2 | Once per day, you may ask EDE to give you 20 Microfusion cells or Energy cells. *This may be increased to 35 with a Repair check of 65. **This may be altered to producing Flamer Fuel with an Explosives check of 35.***This may be altered to producing Satchel Charges with an Explosives check of 65. |
| 3 | Both you and EDE gain +2 Damage Threshold. |
| 4 | EDE gains a +5 bonus to EDE’s ranged weapon damage and +5 bonus to the player’s laser weapon damage. |
| 5 | You gain a +5% hit chance in VATS. |
Collecting all 5 circuit boards also completes the ED-Ecated challenge, granting 500 XP and an achievement of the same name.
Lastly, collecting all of the tapes also allows the player to use EDE’s words against Ulysses in the final quest of the DLC.
