Information About Festivals
Festivals are events that happen every season in Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town. Some festivals are simple events where the townspeople gather around and celebrate, while others are competitions that give you prizes as a result.
All shops will be closed on the day of a festival. When a festival is over, you are automatically sent back home at 6:00 PM. In some events, the entire day will be skipped and you’ll wake up at 6:00 AM the next day.
Music Festival
Date: Fall 3
Location: The Church
Time: 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM
On the 2nd day of fall, Pastor Carter will visit you and ask if you’d like to join the Music Festival. If you accept, he’ll give you an ocarina to play during the festival. Visit the church at 6:00 PM to view the festival.
Warning! When the festival is over, you’ll be back in your house at 6:00 AM the next day. Finish any important tasks before going to the church.
Harvest Festival
Date: Fall 9
Location: Rose Square
Time: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
The townspeople gather and eat at Rose Square for the Harvest Festival. Bring something edible with you to add to the giant pot. Hold the item you wish to throw into the pot and talk to Mayor Thomas to start the festival.
Note: You can put something undesirable in the pot, like trash, weeds, rocks, or poisonous mushrooms. You will faint after eating, and everyone will complain about the food.
Full Moon Festival
Date: Fall 13
Location: Summit of Mother’s Hill
Time: 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM
Go to the summit of Mother’s Hill between 6:00 PM and 12:00 AM. You’ll find the girl with the highest affection for you at the top. Speak to her and watch the moon together.
Fall Horse Race
Date: Fall 18
Location: Rose Square
Time: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Same as the spring Horse Race, you can only join the race with an adult horse. Collect medals by betting on the races and exchange them for valuable items like a Power Berry or a Jewel of Truth.

Sheep Festival
Date: Fall 21
Location: Rose Square
Time: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
One day before the event, Barley will ask you if you want to join the sheep festival. You can join with a healthy adult sheep that has its wool on. The higher your sheep’s affection, the greater chances it has in winning the contest.
If your sheep wins and has 8 or more hearts, it will produce Golden Wool. After leaving it outside the barn for 25 days, it will produce P-Wool.
Note: There is no mini-game during the Sheep Festival.
Pumpkin Festival
Date: Fall 30
Location: Your farm
Time: 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM
Buy three chocolates from the supermarket before this day. From 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM, May, Stu, and Popuri will come to your house and ask for some candy. Give them chocolates to make them happy.
Note: If Popuri is married to Kai, she will not come to your farm on this day.
