When you start Harvest Moon SNES, the first day begins with you being taken to the town by the Shipping Man to meet the townsfolks. He will not let you leave until you speak with six specific people:
- The Seed Shop Owner
- The Animal Dealer
- Nina
- Maria
- Eve
- Ann
However, he does not make this clear so it is very common for players to get stuck because they don’t know where everyone is and who they have or have not yet spoken to as their dialogue typically doesn’t change even after you talk to them.
This guide will show you who and where they are so you can quickly start the real game.
Flower Shop Owner
She’s located in the Seed Shop. You must speak with her behind the counter. She will provide you with the Watering Can which she will send to your tool shed.
Nina
She’s located in her room in the Seed Shop. She’ll give you a bit of info about plants.
Animal Dealer
He’s located in the Animal Dealer’s Shop. He’ll give you a free bag of Grass Seed which he will send to your tool shed.
Maria
You will find her in the Church.
Eve
You’ll find Eve in front of the Bar. She gives you some info about the Bar’s operating hours.
Ann
You’ll find Ann walking around the front of the Tool Shop.
Leaving the town
Once you’ve spoken with the required townsfolks, you can talk to the Shipping Man and he will ask you if you’re ready to leave. Confirm and you’ll be able to truly start the game. Happy Farming!
