You can create the Fishing Rod Net by adding a Bug Net to the Fishing Rod recipe. This is a very simple recipe morph that only requires Wind Element Level 4 material to add to the recipe.

Gathering Ingredients

The Fishing Rod Net only requires a Fragrant Honey Tree for the Bug Net. You will also need to synthesize at least one Delicious Bait to use in the Fishing Rod recipe.

Obtaining a Fragrant Honey Tree and a Bug Net

If you haven’t obtained a Fragrant Honey Tree yet, you can find it at the Maple Delta.

Fast travel to Maple Delta – Sweet River and use the Woodcutter’s Axe on any of the trees around the area. Make sure to obtain at least six Fragrant Honey Trees.

After obtaining the ingredients, you will also need to synthesize the Bug Net.  Use the two Fragrant Honey Trees you just collected to synthesize one Bug Net. 

You can use both in the Quality loop. Another option is to insert one in the Quality loop and the other in the Traits loop.

After that, synthesize the Bug Net. Keep an eye on the item’s Element Level.

You will need Wind Element Level 3 to synthesize the Fishing Rod Net. At this point in the game, you will likely need to synthesize at least two Bug Nets.

Synthesizing the Fishing Rod Net

The Fishing Rod Net requires the following ingredients:

• A Delicious Bait.
• A Lumber-type ingredient.
• A Bug Net (requires Wind Element Level 3).

Use the cauldron and select the Fishing Rod recipe.

You will find the Recipe loop on the top-left side.

Start by adding the Delicious Bait to the Quality loop.

Next, add the Lumber-type ingredient to the Traits loop.

For the final step, insert the Bug Net into the Recipe loop. Make sure to meet the Wind Element Level 3 requirement.

After that, select “Yes” to complete the morph.

Once the process is done, you will obtain a Fishing Rod Net.

For now, the Fishing Rod Net won’t have all effects. The recipe contains two Effect loops:

• Effect 3, which unlocks Gathering Up L.
• Effect 4, which unlocks Add Thread.

In order to add them you can use the “Item Rebuild” option on your Fishing Rod Net. Alternatively, you can also synthesize a new one from scratch with all effects.

Fishing Rod Net Uses

The Fishing Rod Net combines the effects of the Fishing Rod and the Bug Net into one, saving one slot for other gathering tools. If you are not near a fishing spot, using it will swing for bugs.
