You’ll find the missing pieces from this pillar in Pilgrim’s Rest, La Bravoure, Roamer’s Island and El Ciclo. Restoring this pillar will let you visit Wetlock, and it’s needed to continue the main story.
Warning: this guide contains minor spoilers for Dragon Quest VII.
Finding the first fragment
You’ll find the first piece after completing the Alltrades Abbey main quest.
After a cutscene and spawning on the top floor of the Abbey (where you can change your vocations now!) exit the place and head back to Pilgrim’s Perdition.

Most of the town is empty now. Go to the Bank building to find out no one is working there anymore, so you can pick up the Yellow Fragment behind the desk. You can also open the chest to get a Seed of Strength.

Finding the second fragment
After you finish your quest in Alltrades Abbey in the past, return to the present and you’ll find a new island to the east of Alltrades Abbey. Sail there to enter the town of La Bravoure.
Inspect the well near the general store, defeat the Well Wisher guarding the well and enter it. You’ll find the second Yellow Fragment down there.

Finding the third fragment
You’ll be able to get this piece after finishing the Al-Balad main quest in the past.
Before heading back to the present, go to Temple Palace. You’ll find Digby hanging around. Talk to him and he’ll tell you he doesn’t want to go back to the present, and he’ll give you a Care Package.

Return to the present now, and sail or Zoom to the Dig Site, on the same island where the Roamers Encampment used to be in the past. New people are working there, and they’ll charge you a bit more to enter (10g instead of 5).
Enter the tent and exit through the west, and give the Care Package to the man guarding the excavation site, so he lets you pass.

Follow the main path, skip the first staircase down you see and take the next one that goes down. Keep following that path and you’ll find the third Yellow Fragment lying on the floor.

Finding the fourth fragment
Recommended level: 23
You’ll need to restore the third Yellow Pillar first to reach El Ciclo. Once you get teleported there, go rest at the inn. The next day, talk to Antonia downstairs and then to Salvador in his house, on the southwestern side of the town.

After doing all this, exit the town and head northwest to El Magnifico de Puente Pomposo. Talk to the guard there and go back to El Ciclo to spend the night at the inn. You’ll notice the entire island is repeating the same day over and over.

After resting, head back to the guard on the bridge, and then walk all the way to the east side of the island, to El Studio de Pomposo. Talk to Pomposo and you’ll receive a Clocktower Key from him.

Head back to El Ciclo with that key, and use it on the Clock Tower. After using it and making the time stop, go to Salvador’s house and enter the painting in his basement.

Inside the painting, follow the path south until you find a different platform, from which you can drop off to the floor below. Do it and step on the teleporter to continue.

This room, full of teleporters, has many ways to cross it, but the shortest path is stepping on the teleporters in the next order: right, right, right, bottom, right, left, bottom, top.

You’ll reach a room that resembles a giant clock. Step on the top panel with an “XII” and walk all around the room going counterclockwise, and stepping on the “IX”, “VI” and “III” panels.

When you finish, a new teleporter will appear on the “XII” panel. Enter there and walk forward to start a boss battle.

The Time Being
780 HP, can cast Frizzle, Boom, Magic Barrier, Dazzleflash
This boss is accompanied by two Side Winders. You absolutely must focus on them first, or they will use the Sands of Time to reset the battle. The Time Being will cast Magic Barrier in the first turn and will recast it whenever the buff ends, so you’ll have to rely on physical attacks. Casting Oomph on your characters will help a lot. He also uses more magic attacks than physical ones, so it’s a good idea to equip your party with magic-resistant gear. This is one of the first truly hard fights in the game, but as long as you prepare beforehand with gear and leveling, you should have no issues.
After defeating The Time Being, you’ll be rewarded with the fourth Yellow Fragment.
Finding the fifth fragment
Recommended level: 24
After beating The Time Being and finishing the main quest in El Ciclo, head back to the present and revisit the island. Go east, where El Studio de Pomposo used to be to enter the new El Monumento de Pomposo, a giant puzzle tower.
To cross the first floor, step on the buttons on the northeastern and northwestern corners. Doing this will open the gate to the next floor.

On this floor, take the west path and step on the sliding tiles. Be careful not to fall into the pit in the end, and keep following that path. You’ll fight some Prancing Pillars, but they’re even weaker than common enemies.

After exiting the room and reentering through the second entrance, let yourself fall on the pit and step on the button to reach the next floor.

You can take the Dragon Eye from the dragon statue and use it on the next statues to turn off the flames, but you also can just cast Safe Passage on yourself and walk without taking any
damage. This floor is just a straightforward path.

On the next floor, you’ll find four statues with switches. Step on each switch once, and then step on the top left and the bottom left switches to continue to the next floor.

On this last floor, you’ll need to find four hidden switches. The first one is on the northwestern corner behind a pillar. The second switch is across the damaging tiles to the right. The third switch is inside a room to the west that is a bit hard to see if you don’t turn your camera. The last switch is where the statue that disappeared was before.

After pressing them all you’ll get access to the treasury, where you’ll find a Seed of Wisdom, a Mini Medal, a Green Fragment and the last Yellow Fragment you were looking for!

Now that you have all the fragments, you can Zoom back to the Shrine of Mysteries and place them on the lower right Yellow Pillar. Doing this will teleport you to Wetlock, where you can continue the main story.
