You will need a Goldoterion in order to make a Golden Axe. The Goldoterion is the third morph in the Ingot recipe tree.
These are the requirements you will need to meet before synthesizing the Golden Axe:
- Obtain a Goldinite: In order to obtain the Goldoterion, you need to add a Goldinite to the Criminea recipe.
- Raise your Staff’s Gathering Rank: Obtaining a Goldinite requires Gathering Rank 2.
Where to Find the Goldinite
The easiest area to obtain Goldinite is Sand Beast’s Den, an optional area to the west of Northern Lands – Red Cliff.

On Sand Beast’s Den, head to the central part of the map, and then continue west.
You will find multiple rainbow-colored crystals around. Use the Staff with Gathering Rank 2 or better on these crystals to obtain Goldinite.

Once you obtain the Goldinite, return to the Atelier and synthesize a Goldoterion.
Make sure you have already completed these two previous morphs:
- Ingot into Startium (requires Arknite).
- Startium into Criminea (requires Degenesis Stone).
Add the Goldinite to the Recipe loop in the Criminea recipe and you will obtain a Goldoterion.

Synthesizing the Golden Axe
After obtaining the Goldoterion, you will be able to synthesize the Golden Axe.
Make sure you have the following ingredients before proceeding:
- Eiche.
- At least two units of Polishing Powder.
- A Metal-type ingredient.
- A second Metal-type ingredient, with Fire Element level 4.
- Goldoterion (requires Fire Element level 3).
Use the cauldron and select the Woodcutter’s Axe recipe. In the Axe recipe, add Eiche to the Effect 1 loop.

Insert Polishing Powder in the Effect 2 loop on the top left.

Add a Metal-type ingredient to the Quality loop on the bottom.

Continue to the top-left corner of the recipe and add Polishing Powder to the Traits loop.

Insert a Metal-type ingredient in the second Effect 2 loop. This loop requires Fire Element level 4.

Move to the Recipe loop and use the Goldoterion ingots. This loop requires Fire Element level 3.

You can synthesize the recipe right away, and add the effects later.

In order to unlock all effects, you can either use Item Rebuild on your Golden Axe or create a new one from scratch.
You will need the following materials to max out all loops in the Golden Axe recipe:
- Gemstone-type ingredient (Lightning Element level 5 loop).
- A second Gemstone-type ingredient (Wind Element level 7 loop).
- A third gemstone-type ingredient (Lightning Element level 3 loop).
- Goldoterion (Fire Element level 9 loop).
- Another Goldoterion (Fire Element level 4 loop).
- Woodcutter’s Axe (Lightning Element level 3 loop).
- Woodcutter’s Axe (Lightning Element level 4 loop).
- Lumber-type ingredients (two different Wind Element level 9 loops).
- Another Lumber-type ingredient (Wind Element level 5 loop).
- A fourth Lumber-type ingredient (Lightning Element level 3 loop).
Once you complete the Golden Axe recipe, you will unlock the following effects:
- Expert Chopping (Gathering Rank 3).
- Gathering Up L.
- Add (Lumber).
- Add (General Goods).
