Basic Information
Kai spends his summer vacation in Mineral Town. He is an excellent chef, and he runs a restaurant on the beach every summer. Kai has a carefree and friendly personality, which makes him popular among the ladies in town.
Popuri admires Kai, but her brother Rick doesn’t like him. If Kai marries Popuri, they will permanently move out of Mineral Town and come back only during the summer to visit.

Where Can You Find Kai?
Kai only comes to Mineral Town during summer. He runs the Seaside Lodge restaurant at Mineral Beach. He spends time at the beach or at the Inn when his restaurant is closed.

Events with Kai
Gray Visits Kai’s Restaurant
Date: Any day during the summer season
Time: 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM
When you arrive, you will see Gray ordering food. Kai will notice your arrival and greet you. Gray will compliment Kai, saying that he has the best food in town. This embarrasses Kai, but he just laughs it off. Gray leaves and says goodbye to you and Kai.
Kai and Rick’s Argument
Date: Any day during the summer season
Time: 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM
When you go to Mineral Beach between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM, you’ll find Kai and Rick in an argument. Rick doesn’t want his sister hanging around Kai, but Kai tells Rick that he should let Popuri do whatever she wants. Rick then angrily walks away.
Customers for Kai
Date: Any date, summer season only
Time: 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Visit Kai’s restaurant at Mineral Beach between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Kai tells you he doesn’t have any customers. Popuri shows up with a lot of customers, and now Kai is worried that it’ll be too difficult for him to cook for all of them. You agree to help Kai, and he thanks you for your help.
Note: The day will end when you trigger this event, so finish all your tasks before going to the beach.
Necklace for Popuri
Date: Any day during the summer season
Time: 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM
When Kai and Popuri have been married, visit Kai’s restaurant between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Popuri hints at Kai about a necklace at Saibara’s shop. Kai lets her know that he won’t be spending a fortune on a necklace.
Popuri gets upset and eventually convinces Kai to buy the necklace for her.
Rival Heart Events
Each potential marriage candidate has their own rival heart events. Once you’ve viewed their orange heart event, they will marry your rival after seven days. You cannot view a rival heart event when the girl involved has a higher affection level for you.
For example, if you want to view Popuri and Kai’s green rival heart event, Popuri’s affection should be green or lower. If she has an orange or red heart, the rival heart event will not trigger.
Black Rival Heart Event
Location: Mineral Beach
Date: Any day during the summer season
Time: 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Popuri has finished eating food at Kai’s restaurant and wonders if his cooking would make her mother feel better. Kai says he is happy to cook for Lillia if it makes her feel better.
Blue Rival Heart Event
Location: Mineral Beach
Date: Any sunny day during the summer season
Time: 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Popuri thanks Kai for the food he made for her mother. Rick arrives and is very upset that Kai is talking to his sister. After an argument between Kai and Rick, Popuri agrees to go home.
Green Rival Heart Event
Location: Mineral Beach
Date: Sunday, must be a sunny day and its Year 2 or later
When you arrive, you’ll find Kai and Popuri talking about their families. Popuri doesn’t understand why her brother Rick doesn’t like Kai. She is jealous that Kai can travel to different places and wishes she could do the same one day.
Orange Rival Heart Event
Location: Poultry Farm
Date: Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday, must be in Year 4 or later
Kai and Popuri decide to leave Mineral Town together. Rick gets upset, but Lillia gives Popuri her permission. She only requests Kai to keep Popuri happy forever.
Note: Kai and Popuri will get married seven days after this event and will leave the town permanently. They will only come back during the summer.
