Knock-Knock is a unique Fire Axe that can be found in the Camp Searchlight Fire Station during or after the quest Wheel of Fortune.
Quick tips before you head out to get the unique weapon:
- Irradiated area. The entire area of Camp Searchlight is heavily irradiated. Bringing Rad-X and Rad-Away is highly recommended.
- Powerful enemies. The enemies in this area include Ghouls, Glowing Ones, Radscoprions, and a Radscorpion Queen.
- Science 50 required. In order to get this weapon, you’ll have to have a Science skill of 50 or more.
Acquisition
To acquire this weapon, you’ll have to make your way to Camp Searchlight, an irradiated town located south of Novac.

Once there, locate the partly destroyed church in the south-western part of town. On the local map, it’s labeled “Searchlight NCR Storage”.

Once there, enter the church.

Inside the church, in one of the corners, is a trap door leading into a basement. Go inside.

Somewhere in the basement, you’ll find Logan. Speak to him and select the following dialogue options:
- “Are you looking for something?”

- “Maybe I can help.”

Now, follow either one of the walls of the basement until they lead you to a terminal. Hack into it and read all of the entries.

Go back to Logan and tell him that you found the location of the radiation suits.

From here, you’ll get the quest “Wheel Of Fortune”. Follow the quest until Logan takes you to a fire station.

Once inside, go to the door opposite the entrance.

Walk up the staircase you see in front of you into the hallway.

In the hallway, take the second exit to the left. You’ll see a bathroom sign next to the door.

Enter the second stall from the right. The axe will be behind the skeleton, leaning against a wall.

Comparing Knock-Knock to the Fire Axe
- Knock Knock deals additional damage (66 vs 55 damage).
- Knock Knock attacks faster (1.8 attacks/second vs 1.58 attacks/second).
- It has lower durability than the Fire Axe (545 attacks before breaking vs 995 attacks before breaking).
Gameplay Tips
- As with all other melee weapons, it deals double damage in VATS.
- This weapon is viable even in the endgame, primarily thanks to its balanced attack speed and damage.
- Having the Jury Rigging perk is highly recommended, as without it, the weapon will constantly break on you.
