To complete this memory, you must complete the required requests and defeat the Chimera Beast.  

Preparations for defeating the Chimera Beast:

As far as first boss fights go, the Chimera Beast isn’t too difficult to handle. Here are some tips so you can easily win the fight:

• Be Level 5. This will be a decent level to be at to take on the Chimera Beast.
• Stock up on supplies. Have a good stock of Berg Medicine and Sotea. Eight to ten of each should be more than enough.
• Utilize buffs / debuffs. Manipulating the stats of your party and enemies through buffs and debuffs is important to winning, as boss stats are significantly higher than than your teams even at the recommended level.

Gathering 4 beehives from the Blessed Forest is a requirement for the second memory.. Just gather from the shining gathering spots until you have enough

Defeat Blue Punis in Chick Woods during the day for the next requirement. Puni’s are abundant in the areas closest to town. 

Synthesizing a Berg Medicine is also a requirement. Gather Magic Grass from Pilgrim Road or Chick Woods and obtain any animal par, and water for the synthesis. 

Defeat a Green Puni which can be found in Pilgrim Road or Chick Woods to complete another requirement.

Defeating Ghosts in Chick Woods at night will be the next to last requirement. The ghosts hit a little harder than the Puni’s but they still go down pretty easily. 

Finish off the requirements by fighting the “Farm Monster”, which is a Chimera Beast. Make sure you bring enough recovery items to beat him! The Chimera Beast has a base HP of 126 at collection level one. 

Collection Level scales the enemy difficulty and gathering rates depending on how much fighting and gathering you have done. This is meant to be a balance system so that you cannot completely trivialize the fights in the game by overleveling but at the same time increasing your gathering rates.

Your collection level is equal to the number of orbs on the bottom right section of your minimap. The more you fight and collect, the higher the collection level. The higher your collection level, the stronger monsters are and you get better gathering rates.

Fighting the Chimera Beast

The best tactic is to start the fight with Sophie’s Aura Field to increase your party’s defense. After that, use Oskar’s Spinning Shovel to decrease the Chimera Beasts defense, increasing your damage against it. Finally, use Monika’s Light Edge ability to decrease the beast’s attack power. Maintaining all of these buffs and debuffs will make the fight much easier to handle.

Completing the second memory will open up the weapon crafting system in the blacksmith shop. 

Note: If you have completed all requests and defeated the Chimera Beast once and you still have not unlocked the memory, you may have to re-enter the area and defeat a second Chimera Beast.
