The Rebreather is a unique piece of apparel that allows the wearer to breathe underwater. It can be obtained during the “Volare!” quest if you complete an optional objective.
Quick tip before you get the rebreather:
- A full guide to the rest of the quest is available on our website. In case you’re struggling with the quest, you can find a detailed walkthrough of it here.
- The Pressure Cooker step can be skipped. If you have a Science skill of 45 or more, you can skip the Pressure Cooker step.
Obtaining the Pressure Cooker
There is a location called “Fields’ Shack” right outside of the Nellis Air Force Base, just northwest of the road that leads to the artillery zone.

Approach the building and enter it.

Inside, you’ll see an oven to your right. Behind it is a small wooden box with a Pressure Cooker inside.

Go ahead and pick it up. You’ll need it to get the Rebreather later.
Getting the Rebreather
To get the Rebreather, you must follow the “Volare!” quest until you reach the stage where Loyal asks you to get a B-42 bomber out of Lake Mead.

At this point, you will receive an optional objective to go speak to Jack, who’s located inside the Nellis Hangars.

Once you find Jack, speak to him about Loyal saying that he can help you breathe underwater.

He’ll tell you that he needs parts from a pressure cooker. You already have one, so you can give it to him.
Alternatively, you can pass a Science skill check of 45 and get the Rebreather without the need to give him a pressure cooker.

Either way, you’ll have the Rebreather by the time you’re done talking to Jack.
