You can create a Red Stone by using an Underworld Core, which you will obtain in the Dark Abyss. Level up the Quality loop with a Taboo Drop to meet the 120 Quality requirement.
You must meet the following requirements before proceeding:
- Raise your Alchemy Level: Synthesizing a Red Stone requires Alchemy Level 43.
- Obtain an Underworld Core: This ingredient is a rare drop from Philuscha monsters in the Underworld.
- Synthesize a Taboo Drop: The Taboo Drop will level up the Red Stone’s Quality loop.
Gathering the Ingredients
You essentially only need to collect two ingredients for this recipe.
One of them is a high Quality Underworld Rotwood for the Taboo Drop. The other is the Underworld Core for the Red Stone.
Collecting an Underworld Rotwood
Now that you have access to the Underworld, you can easily collect most of its ingredients. Fast travel to Underworld – Ashen Forest.
Look for these purple logs.
Use your axe on them to collect the Underworld Rotwood. Look for ingredients with at least 80 Quality.
Obtaining an Underworld Core
The Underworld Core is a rare drop from the Philuscha monsters. Fast travel to Underworld – Dark Abyss.
These are the Philuscha monsters you will find in the Dark Abyss:
- Parching Demon
- Thrust Hedge and Shadow Eater
- Shadow Commander and Horn Demon.
All of the monsters listed above will give an Underworld Core as a rare drop after you defeat them. Look for an ingredient with at least 110 Quality.
Synthesizing the Red Stone
Once you have all the ingredients, fast travel back to the Atelier. Use the cauldron and start by synthesizing a Taboo Drop.
At Lightning Element Level 2, the central Effect 1 loop gains Synth Quality +10. This will add 10 Quality to a recipe when the Taboo Drop is used as an ingredient.
Synthesize a Taboo Drop with Synth Quality +10, Element Level 3 or better, and at least 80 Quality. At this point in the game, both are extremely easy to achieve.
Next, scroll down to the Red Stone recipe. Start by adding the Underworld Core to the Effect 1 loop.
Next, move on to the Quality loop above the Effect 1 loop. Insert the Taboo Drop you’ve just crafted. At Fire Element level 3, this loop adds 20 Quality to the recipe.
With this, you will easily meet the minimum Quality requirement.
Synthesize the recipe as it is to obtain the Red Stone with Quality 120 or better.
Fast travel to Kurken Bunker – Heart of the Island. Hand the Red Stone over to Tao to complete the quest.
