You’ll need five Blue Fragments to restore this pillar. You can find them in Burnmount and in Grotta del Sigillo. Restoring this pillar will let you travel to Faraday, allowing you to continue the main story.
Warning: This guide contains some minor spoilers for the first chapter of Dragon Quest VII.
Finding the first Blue Fragment
To get this fragment you’ll first have to reach Emberdale and follow the main story until you can enter Burnmount.
Once you’re inside Burnmount, walk west and go down the stairs. Follow the only path available, circling around the volcano until you get to the next set of stairs. Some cutscenes will play as you go down.
You’ll see three paths in front of you. The west path has a Medicinal Herb, and the north path has a Seed of Resilience. Take that northern path and head west after you open the chest, to find the stairs to the next floor.
Follow the only path available until the next floor. The open exit to the south of you has a very useful Divine Dagger. Go up the stairs to the north and keep going up until you reach the top of the volcano.
Fall into the lava pit two times, but before falling a third time, heal yourself in the healing circle to the northeast. Fall a third time and you’ll fight a boss.

Beating this boss will give you the first Blue Fragment! You can exit the volcano now, by casting Evac or falling into the pit in the north of the room.
Finding the second Blue Fragment
For the following fragments, you’ll need to have the first green pillar restored already so you can go to L’Arca.
You’ll notice L’Arca is devoid of people, and there are animals everywhere.
Go to the cabin at the northeast to find a kid tied to a rope. Talk to him and to the cow, and Kiefer will remember a man who can talk to animals. You’ll have to bring him here.
Head back to the teleport pod and go to the house in the woods to the south of Estard. Talk to the man about what you saw and he’ll join your party.
Take him to L’Arca and talk to the kid on the leash again. The man will set him free and the kid will run away.
Exit the town now and head to the western side of the island, to Grotta del Sigillo. You’ll find it by following the main road to the west.
Follow the white wolf until you’re inside the cave, and then take the path that goes north and then east, until you reach the next floor.
Walk down the path, skip the first entrance and get into the second one. You’ll find the second Blue Fragment in this room.
Finding the third Blue Fragment
Recommended level: 10
Exit the room through the southern exit. Follow the only path available until the next floor and take the left path on the first bifurcation you see. Climb the stairs and then go south to get to an outside area on the top of the mountain.
You’ll follow a long path that goes all around the mountain. Skip the first cave you see, the one with four pillars in front of it, and keep following the path until the next entrance. You’ll find the third Blue Fragment in this room.
Finding the fourth Blue Fragment
Recommended level: 11
To get the last fragment you’ll have to beat a boss first. Head back to the previous cave entrance, the one with the four pillars at the front, and get inside.
Follow the path until the next floor and a cutscene will trigger, with the kid that was tied up trying to help a white wolf. A boss fight will ensue.

After you defeat him and watch the cutscenes, Ruff will join your party, and you’ll be able to travel to the island in the present time. Sail to the newly appeared island and head to Grotta del Sigillo again.
The layout is the same as in the past. Climb to the top and enter the same cave where you fought the Hackrobat. He’ll be transformed into a human now, and after a dialogue, he’ll reward you with the last Blue Fragment.
You got all the pieces! You can head back to the Shrine of Mysteries now and place them all on the second blue pillar. This will teleport you to the Faraday island in the past, allowing you to continue the main story.
