You’ll need five Yellow Fragments to restore this pillar. You can find them in Regenstein, Greenthumb, Roamers Island, and the Alltrades Abbey. Each piece is separated by quite a bit of playtime.
Restoring this pillar will teleport you to Al-Balad, where you can continue the main story.
Warning: this guide has some minor spoilers for Dragon Quest VII.
Finding the first fragment
You’ll get the first piece in Regenstein after you restore the first Blue Pillar. You can check our guide on how to do it!
Enter the town and speak to Klemens, onthe north side of the town. After he gives you a bottle of Angel’s Tears, sleep at the inn and then head outside to check the glowing statue.

After speaking with Klemens and sleeping again, check the writing on the wall outside the bar, and then examine the area above the nearby tree to open a secret staircase.

Go down the stairs, take the path to your right and climb to the tallest point in the town, so you can use the Angel’s Tears. Doing so will make a kid, Felix, come out of a hideout.

After some cutscenes, you only need to go to the room where Felix was hiding. You’ll find the first Yellow Fragment in there.

Finding the second fragment
You can find this piece after you helped the people in Greenthumb Gardens in the past.
You’ll find the new island in the present time, sailing to the west of Emberdale. Head to the eastern side of the island to find the new Wilted Heart garden.
Enter the main house and go up to the third floor. You’ll find the second Yellow Fragment here.

This piece is on Roamers island, which you can access after restoring the second Red Pillar. You’ll need to help the Roamers, following the main quest, until they take you to the Poolside Cave. You’ll also lose Kiefer forever during this part of the game!
Once the Roamers take you inside the Poolside Cave, follow the path to your left, circling around the middle wall, going west first and then south, until you reach the next room.

From this room, take the western path to reach the stairs to the next floor. Continue to go west, walking between the two torches, and then turn north. Cross the room without falling into the pits and then follow the path until you find the stairs to the next floor.

After a couple of small rooms and a short dialogue, you’ll reach an area where you’ll have to choose the right path or you’ll start again from the beginning. The right path is always the one without chests. Take the east path first and then the west path.
You can open the chests if you want, but they only have a couple of gold coins each.

Walk all the way south to reach the next room. There’s another magical inscription here. Read it to light up an invisible bridge, allowing you to cross over. Follow the main path until you find two magical bridges. The one on the south leads you to a chest with a Prayer Ring. Take the one to the east to get to the next room.

After a brief cutscene, exit the room through and follow the path north. The Yellow Fragment is in this room.

Finding the fourth fragment
You’ll find this piece inside the Alltrades Abbey in the present time. The new island is located straight to the south of Pilchard Bay.
Enter the Abbey and head to the basement floor. The room in the northeastern corner, near the priest that changes your party members’ names, has the fourth Yellow Fragment.

Exit the Alltrades Abbey and head to where the town of Pilgrim’s Perdition used to be in the past. Talk to the priest lying down on the floor to trigger a boss fight.

| Brigand | Rogue | Swagman | Putric Stinkhenheimer |
| 200HP | 140HP | 180HP | 230HP |
| Their most damaging attack is Rogue’s Sizzle spell. Putric’s Poisonous Breath can also cause some issues if it manages to poison your party. They’re all quite weak to Snooze, so cast it repeatedly with Maribella or whoever in your party has the Mage vocation. As long as you do that and keep healing yourself, the fight should be quite brief. |
After defeating the bandits, they’ll retreat to the Bandit’s Base. The base is in the same place where the Western Cave used to be. Talk to the guards in front of the base and when asked for a password, pick the third option to enter.

At the end of the base there’s a small monster, who turns out to be the bandit’s boss. Talk to him to start another boss fight.

| Mighty Pip |
| 500HP, sometimes acts twice, can cast Boom and Blade of Ultimate Power |
| This fight is even easier than the last one. He doesn’t have the required MP to cast Blade of Ultimate Power, so whenever he tries to, he’ll just spend his turn. Just attack him with physical attacks or your best spells and heal your party when needed and he should go down in no time. |
After defeating Mighty Pip he’ll give you the last Yellow Fragment!

Now that you have all the fragments, Zoom back to the Shrine of Mysteries and place them on the middle Yellow Pillar. You’ll be teleported to Al-Balad, a desert where you’ll be able to continue the main quest.
