Note: Spoilers up to Act 2
The Staff of Divine Wrath is an equipable item that can be obtained from a treasure chest deep within Gotha Pass. It may also be obtained through the lucky square on several T’n’T boards.
Getting to Gotha Pass
Obtaining the Staff of Divine Wrath can be obtained in Act 2, once you have access to Gotha Pass. Making your way to this dungeon is relatively simple as it’s a mandatory destination on your journey. The quickest way to reach Gotha Pass is to Zoom to Batenburg and enter the dungeon across the bridge on the east side of town.
However, if you have not reached Batenburg yet, zooming there is not possible. Thus, instead, zoom to the Knot Welcome Inn and travel north until you reach a cave on the overworld. Traverse through this one-way cave and you will reach the town of Battenberg.
Traversing Gotha Pass
The treasure chest containing the Staff of Divine Wrath is located deep within Gotha Pass, meaning it will take a long trek to acquire the item. From the Battenburg entrance, head through the one-way pass down 2 flights of stairs until you reach an open area surrounded by water. First, you want to exit onto the top right path to reach some treasure chests. The top treasure chest is a mimic while the bottom treasure chest contains 1500 gold coins.
Next, head back to the open area but instead head down and take the bottom left path. This will also bring you to a location with a chest containing a mini medal.
That’s all the treasure chest in this area. To continue through this dungeon, head back to the open area and take the bottom right path instead until you exit outside. Once you reach the ledge, drop down and head back into the dungeon.
Once you’re back into the mountain, turn left at the first intersection. Afterwards, head down at the second intersection to reach another section outside the mountain. Drop down the ledge to reach a treasure chest containing a Suit of Restless Armour. Head back into the mountain to continue your journey.
Now, head up at the intersection and go down the flight of stairs. Keep going forward until you reach another intersection. First, head up to reach a chest containing a Yggdrasil leaf. Go back to the intersection and continue heading right.
Make your way around the small lake until you reach another split path. The 2 paths on top lead to two treasure chests. The path on the left leads to a mimic while the right path leads to a chest containing a mini medal. Once you’ve looted the chests, head back to the split path and go down.
After traveling a bit, you will once again reach another intersection. Heading left leads you to a treasure chest containing another mini medal. Heading right leads to a staircase which leads further into the dungeon. Take the staircase down to continue.
On this new floor, loot the treasure chest right next to the stairs for quick 270 gold coins. Afterwards, head down the long singular path until you reach a staircase and a ledge. Ignore the ledge and take the staircase down.
You will find yourself in an open area. First, head left then up to reach a stairwell. Take it to reach a treasure chest containing a Rockbomb Shard. Go back up the stairwell and now head right. Take the stairwell you see at the end of the path to head up.
Keep heading up the multiple staircases as you climb the mountain until you reach the area pictured below. Grab the treasure chest here for 1500 gold coins. After grabbing the loot, climb the staircase up the mountain once more.
Continue climbing the staircases again until you reach the room pictured below. In this room, you will find a treasure chest and a one-tile path blocked by a staircase. The treasure chest is in fact a mimic while the blocked path leads to the Staff of Divine Wrath. To get on the other side, climb the stairwell then immediately head back down to arrive on the other side. Travel down to reach the chest containing the Staff of Divine Wrath.
Equipment Info: Staff of Divine Wrath
The Staff of Divine Wrath is actually a pretty weak equippable weapon. It only grants a +35 boost to attack which is only alright for this part of the game. As an item in battle, it casts Swoosh, an offensive magic ability that is outclassed by many others. The Staff of Divine Wrath can only be equipped by Bianca, Nera, and a few monsters.
