Information About Festivals
Festivals are events that happen every season in Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town. Some festivals are simple events where the townspeople gather around and celebrate, while others are competitions that give you prizes as a result.
All shops will be closed on the day of a festival. When a festival is over, you are automatically sent back home at 6:00 PM. In some events, the entire day will be skipped and you’ll wake up at 6:00 AM the next day.
Beach Day
Date: Summer 1
Location: Mineral Beach
Time: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
If you have an adult dog, you can join the frisbee contest. You must train your dog daily before the festival to win the contest. You’ll receive a Power Berry as a prize if you win the frisbee contest for the first time.
Tip: You have unlimited stamina during the festival so you can fish as long as you like. You can bring your basket and fill it with fish for extra money.

Chicken Festival
Date: Summer 7
Location: Rose Square
Time: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
You can join the chicken festival with a healthy, mature chicken. Your goal is to scare the opponent’s chicken out of the ring by rooting for your chicken. Press the A button at the correct timing to encourage your chicken and scare your opponent.
If you win three rounds, your chicken will start to lay Golden Eggs once it reaches the maximum affection level of 10 hearts.
Cow Festival
Date: Summer 20
Location: Rose Square
Time: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
You can join the cow festival with a non-pregnant mature cow. The higher your cow’s affection is, the greater the chances it has to win the contest. If you win the contest, your cow will start producing Gold Milk.
If you leave your cow outside for a total of 25 game days after winning the cow festival, it will produce P-Milk.
Note: There is no mini-game during the Cow Festival.
Fireworks Festival
Date: Summer 24
Location: Mineral Beach
Time: 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM
The villagers watch fireworks at Mineral Beach during this festival. If you have a girl with at least a green heart, you can invite her to watch the fireworks together. If she accepts, you’ll watch the fireworks together at the docks, and her affection will increase.
Warning! When the festival is over, you’ll be back in your house at 6:00 AM the next day. Make sure to finish any important tasks before going to the beach.
