How to get the unique Super-Heated Saturnite Fist in Fallout: New Vegas

The Saturnite Fist Super-Heated is a unique variant of the Saturnite Fist that can be obtained by getting a regular Saturnite Fist and upgrading it through a dialogue option with the Toaster in the Sink, located within the Old World Blues DLC.

The Saturnite Fist Super-Heated is unique in that it attacks much more quickly than other Power Fists, and only slightly slower than Saturnite Fists, while also dealing much higher damage, in addition to setting enemies on fire upon getting a critical hit, causing them to take damage over time for 5 seconds.

Some quick tips before you set out to get the weapon:

  • Old World Blues DLC required. The weapon can only be acquired if you have the Old World Blues DLC installed.
  • Lobotomites in the area. There is a rather large number of hostile Lobotomites in the area you’ll have to visit. Prepare accordingly.

How to get the Saturnite Fist Super-Heated

First, the player must acquire a regular Saturnite Fist somewhere within the Old World Blues DLC. Saturnite Fists can be found on Lobotomite enemies, inside containers that spawn weapons, or, placed throughout the various locations throughout Big Mountain (if you’re having trouble finding a Saturnite Fist, search the X-8 Research Facility, the Saturnite Alloy Research Facility, and Big MT West Tunnel).

Once you acquire one, you may proceed to the location “The Cuckoo’s Nest”, which can be found in the southern part of the map, between the X-2 Transmitter Antenna Array and the X-7a “Left Field” Artillery Launch.

Caution: The Cuckoo’s Nest is a cave filled with Lobotomites, all of whom will be heavily armed (you may even find a Saturnite Fist here), including a unique, named Lobotomite called “Test Subject 1”, who carries a rare Protonic Inversal Axe.

It is recommended that you first clear the cave out to make sure you don’t get ambushed by anyone.

After clearing out the area, return to the entrance.

From the entrance, take a right and follow the wall.

You should come across something that resembles a shrine to toasters, with the toaster personality holotape sitting in the middle (on a wooden shelf, next to a couple of candles and 2 skulls).

Once you’re done, return to your base in the Sink and look for the toaster in one of the rooms. Speak to it and ask about its functions, eventually, it will reveal that it has weapon schematics that it can provide you with. If you have a Saturnite Fist in your inventory, hand it over to the toaster and it will give you the weapon you’re after.
