One of the crops you can plant during summer is the tomato. With its quick regrowth rate, tomatoes should be one of your sources of income during summer. A lot of townspeople like the tomato too, making it one of the best crops to give as a gift.

Shipping 100 tomatoes is a requirement to unlock pumpkin seeds, a special crop that only grows during summer.

Note: The Supermarket is closed on the first of summer because of the Beach Festival. You can only buy seeds on the second day of summer.

Important Note: Watering your crops once a day is very important! Seeds and crops stop growing if you don’t water it for a day. Renewable crops will also not regrow if you forget to water them.

Profit

You only need to buy seeds for renewable crops once. We will subtract the seed cost from the total profit per season to know our actual profit.

Max Profit Formation (3×3) vs Optimized U-Shape Formation

The best way to plant crops is the U-Shape Formation. This method of planting crops ensures that no seed goes to waste since you can water and harvest them all. This is the optimal way of planting renewable crops.

The 3×3 formation is the best in terms of profit. You should only use the 3×3 square formation if you have an upgraded watering can, as you won’t be able to reach the crop at the center of the square without it. It’s also wise to use the 3×3 formation when planting non-renewable crops.

Gifting

The crops you grow on your farm make excellent gifts to the townspeople. You can increase its effect on the townspeople’s affection by wrapping it in wrapping paper at the Supermarket before gifting it to them.
