You can upgrade your house by speaking to Gotz, who lives in the Woodcutter’s House south of your farm. At the beginning of the game, your house just has a few pieces of furniture, but you can later improve it to add more furnishings. After you upgrade your house, marriage also becomes available.

First House Expansion

To upgrade your house, speak with Gotz in the Woodcutter’s House. For the initial house upgrade, you need 3000G and 200 pieces of lumber. You can get lumber by cutting branches and tree stumps on your farm.

You can find more tree stumps near Gotz’s house and near the hot spring. These tree stumps respawn daily, and you can get lots of lumber by cutting them down every day. If you have spare gold, you can buy lumber from Gotz for 50G a piece.

Note: Gotz will not work when the weather is bad or when there is a festival, so he may take a longer time to finish upgrading your house.

Second House Expansion

For the second house expansion, you need 1000 G and 700 pieces of lumber. Your house will have a bigger space inside, and more items will be available to purchase from the TV Shopping Network.

Benefits of House Expansion

You can purchase more furniture to decorate the interior of your home after upgrading it. You will also get access to the kitchen after purchasing it. The kitchen is an essential part of the game, as it allows you to cook various recipes.

The large bed also becomes available to purchase,  which is a requirement for marriage.

After you upgrade your house, check the TV every Saturday to find the TV Shopping Network. To place an order for an item, use the phone at the inn after watching the TV. Zack will deliver the item to your house after 2-3 days.

Note: Zack will not deliver the item if the weather is bad or when there’s a town festival.

More Upgrades

Gotz will offer several customization options for your house after you’ve fully upgraded it. You can remodel your mailbox, dog house, and windows to change how they look. Gotz can also build the bathroom, which is another room added to your house.

Bathroom

You need 30,000G and 580 lumber for the bathroom upgrade. The bathroom has the same effect as the hot spring. You will recover stamina and fatigue when you use the bathroom. 

Note: 30 minutes will pass when you use the bathroom.

Mailbox

Remodeling your mailbox costs 10,000G and 200 lumber. You can choose from three design options for your mailbox:

• Red Mailbox
• Blue Mailbox
• Strange Mailbox

Window

Remodeling your windows costs 25,000G and 300 lumber. You can choose from three design options for your windows:

• Round Windows
• Windows with shutters
• Square Windows

Doghouse

Remodeling the doghouse costs 20,000G and 500 lumber. You can choose from three design options for the doghouse:

• Red Doghouse
• Blue Doghouse
• Strange Doghouse
