Information About Festivals
Festivals are events that happen every season in Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town. Some festivals are simple events where the townspeople gather around and celebrate, while others are competitions that give you prizes as a result.
All shops will be closed on the day of a festival. When a festival is over, you are automatically sent back home at 6:00 PM. In some events, the entire day will be skipped and you’ll wake up at 6:00 AM the next day.
Mayor Thomas’ Request
Date: Winter 2
Location: Your Farm
Time: 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM
Mayor Thomas will come to your house at 6:00 AM and request you to give him something. When Mayor Thomas gets back at 7:00 PM, give him the item. He will then give you a piece of Golden Lumber.
He will ask for one of the following items:
- AEPFE Apple
- Black Grass
- Bracelet
- Diamond
- Golden Egg
- Green Pepper
- Moon Stone
- Rice Cake
- Truffle
- White Grass
Winter Thanksgiving Festival
Date: Winter 14
Location: Your Farm
Time: 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Girls will come to your farm and give you chocolate or cakes during this day. Depending on their affection level, you may receive different gifts. Talk to the girls when they arrive at your farm to receive your gift.
If you are married, the other girls will not come to your farm. Instead, your wife will put her gift in your rucksack while you are sleeping.
Starry Night Festival
Date: Winter 24
Location: Varies
Time: 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM
Talk to any girl with at least green heart level on the 23rd of winter. She will invite you to her house on the 24th to eat dinner with her family. Go to their house on the 24th of winter at 6:00 PM to view the festival.
Possible Locations:
- Ann: At the Inn
- Elli: Ellen’s House (next to the library in the northern part of town)
- Karen: The Supermarket
- Mary: Her house (first house in the northern part of town)
- Popuri: The Poultry Farm
Stocking Festival
Date: Winter 25
Location: Your house
Time: 9:00 PM to 12:00 AM
You need a sock from Ellen to view this festival. Go to bed between 9:00 PM and 12:00 AM. Mayor Thomas will sneak to your house while you sleep and put a random item in the sock as a gift.
Tip: You need to befriend Ellen and give her yarn to get the sock. The fastest way to increase her affection is to give her lots of flour.
Year End Festival
Date: Winter 30
Location: Rose Square or at the summit of Mother’s Hill
Time: 6:00 PM (Rose Square), or 12:00 AM (summit)
There are two locations to celebrate the Year End Festival, but you can only go to one. If you go to Rose Square, you can eat buckwheat noodles and bring home some buckwheat flour. If you go to the summit of Mother’s Hill, you will watch the sunrise after talking to everyone.
