You’ll find the Zenithian Helm in Canalot as a reward for helping King Larfur. Finding the four pieces of Zenithian gear is required to continue the main story and is the first piece you will be able to obtain.

Reaching Canalot

Before starting, you should already have your ship and the Magic Key. You’ll find the Magic Key by sailing to Aubout du Monde and revisiting the cave to the west that you explored in Chapter 4.

Your first clue about where to find the Helm is on Zalenagrad. If you unlock the door on the right side of the main building, go through and walk to the back of the building, you’ll see a signpost telling you to visit Canalot to learn more about it.

To reach Canalot you can exit the town and sail north from there. You can land on the right side of the main island of the archipelago and walk through the land spiral until you reach the town.

Helping King Larfur

Inside the castle you’ll find out two things: they have the Zenithian Helm, and King Larfur is offering a reward to whoever can make him laugh. Talking to him won’t work; you’ll need to find a comedian. 

One person in the castle will tell you about a comedian named Tom Foolery. To find him you’ll have to travel all the way south to Laissez Fayre. If you don’t remember where it is, it’s the town where you started in Chapter 4. You can go by ship or Zoom to Aubout du Monde and walk from there. 

In town you’ll discover that Tom Foolery is the new attraction at the theater after Meena and Maya left. Talk to him at the back of the theater and he’ll join your party.

Now you only have to Zoom back to Canalot and take Tom to the king. Before entering the town, make him the first member of your party, by choosing “Misc” and “Line-up” on the menu. 

Go to the king’s chamber and talk to him with Tom. Tom won’t make any jokes, but his discourse will still convince the king to give you the Zenithian Helm.

The Zenithian Helm is one of the best helmets in the game, but only the Hero can equip it. It provides you with the following stats:
